PVGS Presents...

The Pomona Valley Genealogy Society is happy to welcome back Gena Philibert-Ortega to present “Cemeteries and the Anatomy of Gravestones”. This Zoom meeting will be held Saturday, April 13th at 2:00pm.

Family history researchers love cemeteries. Cemeteries provide information about our ancestors’ lives and deaths. But what do you really know about cemeteries? What does that gravestone really tell you? In this presentation, we will examine the types of cemeteries and how you can learn more about gravestones. Gena is an author, researcher, and instructor. She has two master’s degrees, one in Psychology and Women’s Studies and another in Religion. She has published 2 books and has hundreds of articles in print along with 2 blogs. Gena has conducted research for PBS, HGTV, and the Travel Channel and has collaborated on research for Gemological institute of America.
