Census - North Dakota Federal and Territorial Censuses - (Institute for Regional Studies & University Archives, 1305 19th Ave. North, Skills and Technology Training Center, Room 117, Fargo, ND. The Federal, territorial and partial state census schedules for Dakota Territory and North Dakota are available on microfilm at the Institute. Several census schedules are accompanied by a Soundex index, either on microfilm or by a published computer generated index. There is no index available for the 1930 census. We have only portions of the 1915 and 1925 state censuses, and neither is indexed.

The Andrew A. Rowberg Biographical File, 1914-1978, is a microfiche set acquired from the Norwegian American Historical Association. Beginning in 1914, Rowberg searched Norwegian American newspapers and other publications to find obituaries, wedding and birth announcements, honors and tributes, and Norway visits pertaining to Norwegian Americans. Pioneer Mother Project Records - The North Dakota Federation of Women's Clubs Pioneer Mother Project Records contains information on women who lived in North Dakota prior to statehood in 1889. The project began in 1929 and continued until at least 1953. The data, microfilmed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota, where the originals are housed, is arranged by complete and incomplete biographies.
